About the Foundation

Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates (EFG)，established in August 2006,  is China's first non-profit organization sponsored by the Shanghai municipal government to disseminate entrepreneurship culture and support entrepreneurship practice. Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Fund for Graduates (Angel Fund) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to financing the innovation and entrepreneurship efforts of university students. Taking cultivating entrepreneurial environment, sowing entrepreneurial seeds and stimulating entrepreneurial power as its mission, and joining all sectors of society to encourage entrepreneurship and educate and finance entrepreneurers, EFG has so far formed an all-directional network of 24 branches committed to supporting entrepreneurial practice, cultivating entrepreneurial talents and disseminating entrepreneurial culture.

By the end of April 2021, "Angel Fund" had accepted a total of 11,430 applications for entrepreneurship projects, provided funds for 3,274 projects and created more than 30,000 new jobs. A growing number of young entrepreneurs with dreams, passion, preparation and ability have set sail and kept growing in the company of "Angel Fund", bringing about a constant emergence of excellent entrepreneurship enterprises.

It is worth mentioning that EFG hosted the first Global Entrepreneurship Week China event in 2007 and signed an agreement with the Global Entrepreneurship Week Organization Committee, authorizing EFG as the organizer of Global Entrepreneurship Week China since 2008. By the end of 2020, EFG has successfully hosted 14 GEW China events. President Xi Jinping has sent congratulations to the 2013 (7th) Global Entrepreneurship Week China, calling on the whole society to support young entrepreneurs in innovation and entrepreneurship. As one of the world's best-in-class entrepreneurs' events, Global Entrepreneurship Week has so far delivered events in 170 countries. By pulling together the resources from all sectors of society, EFG has gradually built an open platform drawing the public's common concern about, and participation in, the dissemination of innovation and entrepreneurship ideas.
